MenuTab for Facebook is a handy app that sits in your menu bar and allows you to quickly access your Facebook.

MenuTab for Facebook is a great app if you're a Facebook addict and don't want to miss a single notification. The icon will light up red whenever there is a new notification or message. You can assign a custom keyboard shortcut to access MenuTab for Facebook even more quickly.

While most of the features of Facebook are retained, MenuTab for Facebook is still limited because it is basically the mobile Facebook page. You can still have Facebook Chats, but the interface left much to be desired. You can't press return to send your messages - instead you have to click "reply" every time.

Thankfully, you can still access links from within MenuTab for Facebook. They will open up in your default browser for viewing. Another interface inconsistency we noticed when opening links was that the mobile Facebook site warning about leaving Facebook would show up.

MenuTab for Facebook is free to use but it serves up ads at the bottom of the window. There is MenuTab Pro for Facebook, which gives you a bunch of features like different color notifications for different events, an improved Facebook chat interface, a resizable window, and gesture support.

Overall, MenuTab for Facebook is a great way to keep up with your Facebook, but the pro version offers an even better experience - and is still a reasonable price.
